David Draisey

Partner

David joined Hunters as a trainee in 2007 and became a Partner in 2018.

He has considerable experience in a wide range of contentious issues with particular expertise in complex disputes relating to trusts and probate. David regularly advises both claimants and defendants on:

  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependents) Act 1975
  • Challenging or defending the validity of a Will, including claims relating to testamentary capacity, undue influence, forgery and lack of knowledge and approval
  • Applications for the removal of executors or trustees
  • Disputes between executors or trustees and beneficiaries
  • Applications for directions by executors seeking guidance from the Court

David regularly advises on both residential and commercial property disputes including:

  • Disputes over the ownership of land
  • Disputes between landlords and tenants
  • Adverse possession
  • Residential possession claims
  • Forfeiture
  • Restrictive covenants

David is also experienced in claims for negligence against professional advisors, often related to the expertise above.

His clients include trustees, beneficiaries, land estate clients and City professionals, amongst others.
